BUILD Workout Playlist To Train To!
As you all may know by now, I’ve been working like crazy on a couple of different things this year. The biggest thing is obviously my new workout program for the Sweat app, called BUILD. Personally, I’ve been working away on smashing a few of my own goals too — like building more muscle in my legs and hitting some more personal records with my lifts. I am always trying to push myself to perform and I wanted to give you a tip that I use to help me.
My performance in the gym is heavily dictated by my music. Having a killer workout playlist definitely keeps me motivated through my training sessions, especially the really tough ones. If I get to the gym and I’m not feeling as high energy as normal, I get my headphones on, crank the music and get ready to smash it.

I’m a firm believer that having passion for what you do means you are more likely to accomplish what you set your mind to. If you really want to succeed when it comes to your training — whether that is through BUILD, my powerbuilding program, or through any other workout program — it is important to focus and work hard. I always find it much easier to focus when I put on my playlist and set my mind to my training session.
Music can be so beneficial for maximising your workout. The right playlist can give you some extra energy or motivation and it can also give you an endorphin high too. Plus, music can help you to keep a natural rhythm when you are training as well. Music just makes you feel good, so having some killer tunes playing while you train can make those lifts just a little bit easier!
What’s on my workout playlist?
You might have noticed that I have more than one workout playlist for my gym sessions. Actually, I have playlists to suit a range of different moods too. Some days I might want to listen to something a bit heavier, so I’ll put on some heavy metal or rock, while other days I want to play something upbeat (EDM is always good) that is going to get me dancing between sets.
You’ve probably already noticed that I change things up fairly regularly with my training — that includes my workout music too. I hate going to the gym and playing the same workout playlist over and over again, so I try to add new songs to my playlists as often as I can. Now that you can find my playlist on Apple Music and Spotify, you can train with my tunes while you do your BUILD workout too. The Sweat app integrates with both music streaming platforms, so you can follow the workout in the app and listen to the music at the same time!

Music can help to motivate your workout, especially for powerbuilding, when you need to concentrate on getting those lifts done. Music puts me in a great mood and when I’m loving being in the gym, I always perform better.
